I was afraid the mysterious dropping tiles would lead to a larger fix than you expected. And sadly I was right. I just didn't want jinx it by saying anything

Heck, go for the radiant heat floor if you're going to be ripping it up. Keep those tootsies warm in the morning.
As it is, 6 trips to the hardware store and one visit from the plumber later, we've spent over $600 on this bathroom. We haven't even talked about what we'll do for the rest of the walls not covered by the tub surround, nor have we discussed replacing the ugly bathroom sink. I'm thinking a radiant heat floor is not in our immediate future unless work decides to pay me for all this time I've sat waiting to hear about my job situation...and besides, the bathroom's not big enough to warrant it, as a small bath rug covers almost all the square footage...
